Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question for our team? Our patients ask us interesting questions every day, so we thought it would be helpful to include some of the most common ones right here on our website. After reading through this page, if you still have a question, be sure to just call us and ask! We’re more than happy to take extra time to make sure you completely understand your dental care.

How often should I visit the dentist?

All of our doctors agree that patients of all ages should visit the dentist at least twice a year in order to keep their teeth clean, healthy, and free of preventable dental problems like tooth decay, cavities, gum disease, and more.

What can you do to improve the appearance of my smile?

We like to think that all of the services we provide can enhance a smile’s appearance, but for that extra boost, we actually offer an array of treatments specifically geared towards making the teeth look fantastic: cosmetic dentistry. With these services, we can do everything from whitening your smile to fix chips and cracks to get rid of gaps and more!

Can you replace my missing teeth?

We have a multitude of treatments that can do exactly that, but for the most natural-looking and longest lasting results, we may recommend getting dental implants. They rebuild the entire tooth from root to crown and have been shown to last for 30 years or more.

Do I have to get metal braces to straighten my teeth?

Not anymore! With Invisalign, we can give you the straighter smile you’ve always wanted without the mouthful of metal. It uses clear plastic aligner trays that are practically invisible when worn on the teeth!

I have a large gap in my teeth. Can you fix it?

Yes, we can. With porcelain veneers, we can make that gap a thing of the past in just one or two simple appointments.

How can a dentist treat sleep apnea?

A board-certified sleep dentist like Dr. Blum can help relieve sleep apnea symptoms using a treatment called oral appliance therapy, where a patient simply has to wear a specially designed mouthpiece to bed each night. Research has shown that this method can effectively treat mild to moderate cases of obstructive sleep apnea and even offer a viable CPAP alternative.

Will you accept my dental insurance?

We gladly accept dental insurance plans from a multitude of providers, and we are currently in-network with Delta Dental, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and MetLife. To learn how we can use your particular plan to help you save, please contact us today.
